Finally! The Square lighted up its giant and mini Christmas Trees on Saturday, November 12, 2016 with this years’ theme, “Sweet Christmas.”


Sugar-coated splendid confections. The retail space at Lancaster New City lighted the 20 ft. giant Christmas tree last November 12, 2016 at The Central Greens.


Commercial Business Group Deputy Head and Community relations Head Karen Nell Parungo and Nida Detablan, respectively, graced the lighting ceremony of the 20 ft. Christmas tree at the Central Greens. Thousands of lights, sweet candies and fascinating candy canes glamour the retail strip with 20 mini-Christmas trees scattered around the park, transport hub and along Advincula Road.


Spreading sweetness. Midget Christmas trees are also located around the terminal hub, Advincula Avenue and the parking space.


Delighting more, best of indigenous Parol makers were also revealed. With its playful cozy coconut husk and corn hub details, Malagasang III Elementary School victors over other contenders at the third Parol Making Contest, 94% obtained. Following Malagasang III ES are second timers Happy Map-c and Artophosis, both from Calicdan Clan, with 93 and 90.33 respectively. Happy Map-C created a vibrant patterns through illuminative corn kernels placed with different colors. On the other hand, Artophosis’ Parol replicates Christmas genesis with the holy family illuminated in a windowpane oyster or nacre (“kapis”).

Imus National High School- Greengate Annex bags home the most liked award which gathered a total of 1, 527 likes over Facebook.

Other participants of the Parol Making Contest were Rodriguez family, Calicdan Family and Elizabeth Seton School – South. The retail space ready for lease, The Square, hosts this annual event which now became a tradition inside Lancaster New City.

Mary Queen of Heaven Choir also graced the event with their genuine rendition of all-time Christmas carols Ang Pasko ay Sumapit, Holy night and more.

Meanwhile in a closing remarks, Community relations division head Ms. Nida Detablan heads up all residents for more upcoming events to be held at Lancaster New City and The Square. She ended with a ‘thumbs up’ note to while greeting everybody a Joyous Christmas.

Mr. Nino Christopher Rodriguez, one of the participants, said that they will continue to patronize all programs and events as it bring his family a natural fun and sense of togetherness. The cheerful dad also added, “Masaya sa lugar na ito dahil sa mababait na tao at pati mga staffs.”
